1. PHE (Public Health Engineering)
Focuses on water supply, sanitation, and drainage systems:

Scope Includes:
Water Supply Systems:

Cold & hot water piping (GI, PPR, CPVC)

Pumps, water tanks, pressure boosting systems

Water meters, valves, and backflow preventers

Drainage & Wastewater Systems:

Soil, waste, and vent piping (uPVC/SWR)

Floor traps, gully traps, manholes

STP (Sewage Treatment Plant) or connection to municipal sewer

Sanitary Fixtures Installation:

Washbasins, water closets, urinals

Showers, kitchen sinks, floor drains

Rainwater Drainage (if applicable):

Roof drainage system

Downpipes and rainwater harvesting setup

2. FFTG (Fire Fighting)
Involves systems to detect, suppress, and control fires in buildings:
Scope Includes:
Piping Network:

GI/Black steel pipes painted red

Sprinkler pipe routing through ceiling/false ceiling

Pressure testing and painting

Sprinkler System:

Ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted sprinklers

Zoning and flow calculation based on area coverage

Fire Hose Reel System:

Fire cabinets with hose reel and landing valves

Wet risers and hydrants as per NFPA/local code

Pump Room Setup:

Main, jockey, and standby fire pumps

Diesel/electric pump setup with controller

Compliance & Testing:

Hydrostatic testing of pipelines

Approval from Civil Defense/Fire Authority

Coordination between PHE, HVAC, interior, and ELV systems is critical

Design should comply with local authority, NBC, and NFPA standards
